Which hybrid inverters is this protection panel compatible with?
The panel is designed to connect to three-phase hybrid inverters via quick-connect terminals on the EPS/backup output. Make sure your inverter's backup output is three-phase and does not exceed 10 kW.
What is the maximum power this panel can handle?
It is rated for systems up to 10 kW in three-phase configuration. The included 25 A 4P circuit breaker is sized to match that maximum power on a three-phase backup line.
What protective devices are included inside the panel?
The panel comes with a 25 A 4P MCB (miniature circuit breaker), a 30 mA Type A RCD (residual current device), and a Type II AC surge protection device (SPD). Together they protect against overcurrents, earth leakage and voltage surges on the critical-load line.
What is an EPS line and why do I need this panel?
EPS (Emergency Power Supply) is the backup output of a hybrid inverter that keeps critical loads running during a grid outage. This panel provides the required protection and safe termination for that dedicated backup circuit.
Do I need to buy any additional components for installation?
The panel includes quick-connect terminals for the inverter side, but you will need appropriate three-phase cabling between the inverter and the panel, as well as wiring to your critical loads. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Why is a Type A RCD used instead of a standard Type AC?
Type A RCDs detect both sinusoidal AC leakage currents and pulsating DC leakage currents, which are common in circuits connected to inverters and other power electronics. The panel already includes a 30 mA Type A unit as required for this application.
