Growatt TPM-6CTA-C-100 three-phase smart meter for Growatt inverters: it measures at the grid connection point so the inverter can enforce zero export and manage the battery against the home's real consumption. Class 1 accuracy, 3P4W grid (57.7–240 V L-N) or 3P3W (100–415 V L-L), 50/60 Hz. Which inverters does it work with?

Growatt three-phase inverters (MOD, MID, SPH/SPA, WIT) that support an RS485 meter. We confirm the exact model when preparing the quote.

What are the two CT sets for?

One set of 3 CTs measures the grid supply; the second can measure an existing PV system (AC coupling) so the inverter accounts for all production.

Do cables need to be cut to fit the CTs?

No — the CTs are split-core and clamp around the cable. The meter sits on the DIN rail in the panel; a certified electrician installs it.

Is it needed for zero export?

Yes. Without a meter at the connection point the inverter can't see the home's consumption, so it can't limit grid export or charge the battery from surplus.
