Pre-wired protection panel for the AC output of a three-phase inverter up to 70 kW: 160 A 4P moulded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) with adjustable thermal trip, adjustable earth-leakage relay with toroid (set to 300 mA) and a type II 3P+N AC surge protection device, in a IP55 steel cabinet with mounting plate. It sits between the inverter and the main distribution board and covers overcurrent, short circuit, earth leakage and grid transients.

Which inverter is this panel for?

Three-phase (400 V) grid-tied or hybrid inverters with an AC output up to 70 kW. The 160 A breaker leaves the 25 % margin over the maximum output current that the regulations ask for.

What is inside?

Why isn't the RCD 30 mA?

At this power the PV array has capacitive leakage that would trip a 30 mA RCD; inverter makers require 100–300 mA on the AC output.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes, it must be installed by a certified electrician. Bilotex fits it together with the inverter.
